Who doesn't like finger painting?

When feeding Christal I had noticed she was being picky about what she wanted to pick up with her fingers to eat.  She has been a little picky with the different textures of foods.  So I decided to expose her to some new textures in the form of playtime.

Finger painting has always been on of my favorite things to do with the kids.
Christal looks excited too!

First I let her touch the paint and feel the coolness of it.

She liked the feel of the finger paint

You should have seen her daddy's face when he walked in from work.
"You gave her finger paint?"  he asked.  He seemed to think I was crazy or something.

She enjoyed smearing it around and had no problems getting her hands messy. Notice she has not gotten the paint anywhere but on the paper and her hands.  She did a great job!

She painted and played with the paint for at least 30 minutes.

When she was done she went straight to the bathtub for a quick clean up.

She has gotten much better with touching some of the foods since this fun time.  This is one of her favorite things to do now.

  1. What a cutie pie -- and what a great idea on how to get her used to touching different textures of food!
